The Bridgend Café and the Callander Hostel are the result of Callander Youth Project Trust’s determination to have a place that young people in the rural community can meet and socialise. It also has the purpose of training unemployed young people in hospitality skills; skills which are in demand in the rural community.
Callander Youth Project Trust is a charity and the café and hostel are social enterprises, which means that all profits are recycled into the project in order to increase the services and experiences offered to young people who live within the catchment area of McLaren High School.
By supporting the café, you are making a difference. Thank you.
We aspire to offer quality food at affordable prices. We are family and young person friendly, so most dishes we can serve as half portions. If you have any questions, please ask. Likewise, if you have any dietary requirements, let us know.
Our Puro coffee range is 100% organic and Fairtrade. Proceeds from this coffee go to the World Land Trust who buy up swathes of endangered rain forests in South America in order to stop developers cutting down the trees.
